Tarot is a type of card that originated in Europe in the mid-15th century. It was originally a game card, but has been widely used as a tool for fortune telling and self-reflection since the late 18th century.
Tarot cards usually consist of 78 cards, divided into 22 Major Arcana (main cards) and 56 Minor Arcana (regular cards). Each card has its own symbol and meaning, and is used to gain advice or insight on various questions such as love, career, and human relationships.
The biggest characteristic of Tarot is that it provides a positive and constructive perspective in the process of interpreting pictures and symbols, and anyone can learn it through study even if they do not have innate foresight.
Tarot is also widely used as a tool for self-reflection to understand the flow of the past, present, and future, or to look into one's inner self. In particular, the Rider Waite (Universal Waite) deck is the most widely used in Korea.
