Jininsa Daecheonmyeong

Jininsa Daecheonmyeong (盡人事待天命)** is a Chinese idiom meaning "After doing everything that a person can do, leave the results to the will of heaven and wait"

 

That is, it emphasizes the attitude of life that after doing one's role and effort as a human being, one should not be obsessed with the results and calmly accept them. This saying is also often used to mean "do your best" to someone who just hopes for luck without putting in effort

 

It is said that the expression "Jin-in-sa-dae-cheon-myeong" originated from the Chinese story of the Three Kingdoms.

In particular, it is known that it originated from what Zhuge Liang said after the Battle of Red Cliffs, "I have done everything I can as a human being, so now I just have to wait for the will of heaven (修人事待天命)".

In this way, "Jin-in-sa-dae-cheon-myeong" became the original form and was widely used in later generations.
